It is a short walk or a five minute drive to the restaurants, facilities, and the village of Mill Bay. This lovely spacious house is well supplied and very comfortable. With a garden full of Rhododendrons and fruit trees, deer and birds, you might be tempted to just relax at home.

When you are ready to have some fun you can rent a kayak, boat or mountain bike. Bring your fishing rod as the Cowichan Valley's rivers, lakes and ocean has everything from steelhead and lake trout to salmon and prawns. Whatever your preference is, the Island is full of interesting ways to spend the day. Enjoy the most beautiful scenery you will find anywhere. Golf or play tennis at nearby Arbutus Ridge. Enjoy the Cowichan Lawn Tennis Tournament. Visit the many vineyards that surround the area for a taste of some local wine and cidar. Take a scenic ferry ride to world famous Butchart Gardens or go whale watching from Victoria's Inner Harbour. Catch the Tofino bus and explore the Wild West Coast. Experience the laid-back Island lifestyle by visiting nearby Salt Spring and the other Gulf Islands where you can sample delicious cheeses and other local products. From the ocean to the rivers to the Galloping Goose bike trail, recreational areas abound.
